Anthony Welters

Mr. Welters is a member of our Board of Directors. Mr. Welters was elected to our Board of Directors effective October 27, 2015, and is the Chairperson of the Compensation Committee, as well as a member of the Nominating and Governance Committee. He is Founder, Chairman and CEO of CINQ Care Inc., a physician-led, community-based ambulatory care delivery system that delivers whole person care in the home, whenever possible, to Black and Brown communities. He is Executive Chairman of the BlackIvy Group, an organization focused on building and growing commercial enterprises in Sub-Saharan Africa, and Chairman of Somatus, Inc., a value-based kidney care company. Mr. Welters founded AmeriChoice in 1989 and upon acquisition by UnitedHealth Group (UHG) in 2002, joined UHG serving as Senior Adviser to the Office of the CEO, Executive Vice President and Member of the Office of the CEO, retiring in 2016. He currently serves on the public boards of Loews Corporation and Gilead Sciences, Inc. Mr. Welters is Trustee Emeritus of Morehouse School of Medicine Board of Trustees, Chairman Emeritus of the Board of New York University School of Law, Vice Chairman of the Board of New York University, a Trustee of NYU Langone Medical Center, Vice Chair of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and a founding member of the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
