Carlyle’s Opportunistic Credit team seeks to generate strong risk adjusted returns by investing in directly originated private capital solutions primarily for upper middle market borrowers, including non-private equity sponsored, family or entrepreneur-owned companies seeking an alternative to traditional capital markets or private equity. Carlyle Credit Opportunities Fund, the flagship opportunistic credit fund, closed on June 30, 2019 with $2.4 billion of equity commitments. The group is headed by Alex Popov.
