The Carlyle Group Names Leigh Farris Global Head of Corporate Communications

Washington, DC and New York, NY – Global investment firm The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG) announced today that Leigh Farris is joining as Managing Director, Global Head of Corporate Communications, working directly with Co-CEOs Kewsong Lee and Glenn Youngkin.

Leigh will lead the team responsible for Carlyle’s global communications strategy, including corporate branding, media relations, issues management and employee and executive communications.  As a member of the management committee, she will work closely with senior leadership on all aspects of the firm’s business.  Leigh will begin her role later this spring.

Leigh joins from Goldman Sachs where she most recently served as Managing Director, CEO Communications.  She also led communications for the firm’s impact investing platform, including the Goldman Sachs Foundation and Urban Investment Group. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, she held communications leadership roles at GE and CBS News. 

Leigh graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and lives in New York City.
