The Carlyle Group Names Former Mondelēz International Head of Integrated Supply Chain Daniel Myers as an Operating Executive for Global Consumer, Media & Retail Group

NEW YORK — The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG) today announced that Daniel Myers, former Head of Integrated Supply Chain of Mondelēz International, has been named an Operating Executive in the Global Consumer, Media & Retail Group.

As an Operating Executive, Myers will principally be focused on supply chain optimization to help grow and transform companies across Carlyle’s global platform and will support the team in identifying compelling investment opportunities, particularly in the consumer packaged goods space. Myers joins a broad and diverse group of nearly 50 Carlyle Operating Executives, Senior Advisors and Operating Advisors who help Carlyle invest wisely, create value and have a meaningful impact on companies across all industries.

As Head of Integrated Supply Chain of Mondelēz International, Myers led the Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Customer Service and Logistics groups, which represented more than 70,000 of the company’s employees. Myers held the same position at Kraft Foods Inc., the predecessor to Mondelēz International, since he joined the company in September 2011. Under Myers’ leadership, Mondelēz funded a major reinvention of its worldwide supply chain which delivered more than $3 billion in savings.

Prior to Kraft Foods, Daniel worked for Procter & Gamble for 33 years, serving as a Global Vice-President in roles across all areas of the Supply Chain. During his career he has managed over 250 manufacturing plants and 400 Distribution Centers serving over 160 countries.

Myers is currently a Senior Fellow at Haslam School of Business teaching both graduate and undergraduate studies. Myers earned his BS in chemical engineering from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and has served on the Board of the Global Supply Chain Institute at the University of Tennessee’s School of Business, and he currently serves on two company boards.
