Minh Ta

Minh serves as a Principal for Carlyle’s Global Government Affairs (GA) Department with primary responsibilities for the global credit and corporate private equity real estate businesses. 

Minh works on regulatory and policy changes to enhance the global credit platform and he assists with deal teams in their diligence on individual credits and portfolio companies. Minh also works on policy and regulatory issues on behalf of Carlyle US real estate group across the federal, state and local jurisdictions. 

Prior to joining Carlyle, Minh worked on Capitol Hill for 12 years for three Members of Congress, (Chief of Staff for two and legislative director for one). Minh worked on a diverse range of policy issues from the Dodd-Frank Act to reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank. 

Before coming to Capitol Hill, Minh worked for a number of policy advocacy and research organizations focused on strengthening state policies to improve the well-being of low-income children and families.
