Michael Silverstein is an Operating Executive focused on U.S. Buyout opportunities. Mr. Silverstein is an expert in the consumer packaged goods and retail sectors. He was a senior partner and leader of Boston Consulting Group’s consumer practice. During his career at BCG, Mr. Silverstein advised CEOs of multi-billion-dollar global companies and helped start and build the firm’s consumer practice, now its largest. He is an expert on growth, brand development, and portfolio strategy.
Mr. Silverstein has also authored five books on consumers. Of special interest to him are the buying habits of women, emerging market consumers and millennials. His books include “Trading Up,” which analyzes middle-class consumers buying luxury goods; and “Women Want More,” about women’s purchasing behavior around the globe. His most recent book is “Rocket,” a manual for finding and sustaining innovation.
Mr. Silverstein earned his bachelor’s degree from Brown University and his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.
