Scott H. Hughes
Scott H. Hughes is a Vice President with U.S. Buyout, focusing on investments in the Industrial, Transportation and Energy sectors. He is based in Washington, DC.
Since joining Carlyle in 2010, Mr. Hughes has been actively involved in the firm’s investments in Accudyne Industries, Greater China Intermodal (“GCI”), Novolex, Centennial Resource Development and WildHorse Resource Development. He has served as a Board member of GCI. Prior to Carlyle, Mr. Hughes worked for Merrill Lynch & Co. in the mergers and acquisitions group.
Mr. Hughes received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar, and a B.A. in economics, cum laude, from Columbia University.
