Nick Reid

Nick Reid is a Director in Carlyle’s legal team and is based in London.

He works with a number of funds across Carlyle’s Global Private Equity segment (European Buyout, European Technology, Financial Services, Sub-Saharan Africa, MENA, Ireland and International Energy) on their investments, exits and portfolio matters. In 2018 Carlyle’s legal team won In-House Team of the Year at the Legal Business Awards, were named to the GC Powerlist and also won two awards at the FT’s Innovative Lawyer Awards.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Nick was a Managing Associate at Linklaters in London. He focused on corporate law, M&A, IPOs and equity capital markets transactions and worked on some market leading transactions, including SABMiller’s $108bn takeover by AB InBev (the largest UK takeover and one of the largest global M&A deals). He also worked in the Linklaters Hong Kong office.

Nick is a Solicitor (England & Wales) and received his Law degree from the University of Exeter.
