Mat Feldman is a Managing Director of the Carlyle Credit Opportunities Fund. He is based in New York.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Feldman was a senior investment professional at Davidson Kempner Capital Management. During his six years at Davidson Kempner, Mr. Feldman was responsible for sourcing and structuring complex transactions totaling nearly $2 billion of deployed capital across the United States and Europe. Mr. Feldman was an integral member of Davidson Kempner's real estate platform, and helped pioneer new areas of opportunity for the firm (including, but not limited to, the acquisition of a regulated credit institution and purchasing more than $500 million of high yielding net leased assets). Before joining Davidson Kempner, Mr. Feldman was a Vice President at Square Mile Capital, where he spent four years focusing on high yield debt and equity investments in commercial real estate.
Mr. Feldman received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania and received his law degree from the Boston University School of Law. During his third year of law school, Mr. Feldman was a visiting student at New York University Law School while also working as a full-time analyst at Gramercy Capital Corporation (a NYSE listed mortgage REIT). Mr. Feldman is a proud trustee of the Development School for Youth, which provides supplemental educational and internship experiences to inner city-youth across the country.
