Elizabeth Broomfield is a Senior Associate focused on U.S. buyout opportunities in the aerospace, defense and government services sectors. She is based in Washington D.C.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Ms. Broomfield worked as an investment banker advising on mergers & acquisitions at Morgan Stanley and as a corporate lawyer at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton. She has also worked at Bessemer Venture Partners and at the U.S. State Department.
Ms. Broomfield received her JD/MBA from Columbia University, where she graduated with highest honors as a Kent Scholar, Second Year Fellow, and Private Equity Fellow. She received her undergraduate degree from Yale University with a double major in Electrical Engineering and Ethics, Politics, and Economics and a Masters degree from the London School of Economics, with distinction.
