Cordel Robbin-Coker is a Vice President focused on buyout and growth investments in Sub-Saharan Africa. He previously worked with Carlyle’s US Equity Opportunity Fund and Executive Group, based in Washington, DC.
Since joining Carlyle in 2011, Mr. Robbin-Coker has been actively involved with investments across a range of industries in the US, Europe and Africa ‒‒ these include: Amrod, Avail-TVN (now, Vubiquity), Diamond Bank, eScreen, Gemcom Software, On Demand Group, Philadelphia Energy Solutions, and Traxys. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Amrod and an observer for Traxys.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Robbin-Coker worked with Morgan Stanley in their Investment Banking Division, spending time in New York and London, focused on Financial Institutions Group and Natural Resources Group, respectively
Mr. Robbin-Coker received a B.A. from Stanford University, with a major in Political Science. He is a member of the Robert S. Brookings Society and a supporter of the African Leadership Academy. He is a native of Sierra Leone.
