Anita Balaji is a Managing Director with Carlyle’s U.S. Buyout fund, focusing on investments in the consumer, media and retail sectors. She is based in New York.
Since joining Carlyle, Ms. Balaji has been actively involved with Carlyle’s investments in Dunkin’ Brands, The Nature’s Bounty Co., Acosta Sales & Marketing, Array Marketing, and PurposeBuilt Brands.
Prior to joining Carlyle in 2006, Ms. Balaji was with Behrman Capital. Prior to that, Ms. Balaji was with the M&A group at Goldman Sachs, focusing on consumer and retail transactions. Ms. Balaji is currently a member of the boards of The Nature’s Bounty Co., Array Marketing and PurposeBuilt Brands.
Ms. Balaji received her MBA from Harvard Business School. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wellesley College with a BA in mathematics and chemistry.
