David Heilbrunn is a Managing Director in Carlyle’s Middle Market Finance division. He is based in New York.
Prior to joining Carlyle in November of 2011, Mr. Heilbrunn was Senior Managing Director, Head of Corporate Strategy & Development of Churchill Financial, a commercial finance company focused on providing financial solutions to private equity-backed domestic middle market companies. Before joining Churchill in 2008, Mr. Heilbrunn was a Senior Managing Director and CDO Group Head for Bear Stearns & Co.
Prior to joining Bear Stearns in 2005, Mr. Heilbrunn spent twelve years with JPMorgan and its predecessor entities, where he served as Managing Director and Group Head of the firm’s North American-focused CLO business.
He received an M.B.A., with Distinction, from the University of Michigan Business School and a B.S. in accounting, magna cum laude, from The State University of New York at Albany.
Mr. Heilbrunn holds a CPA license (currently inactive).
