The Carlyle Group Closes Fourth 2016 CLO in US Totaling $507 Million

New York, NY – Global alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG) today announced the closing of a Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) fund in the U.S. totaling approximately $507 million. The CLO, arranged by Citigroup, is the firm’s fourth of 2016 in the United States. Carlyle GMS CLO 2016-4 will invest predominantly in senior secured loans.

Carlyle’s structured credit/CLO business now has $18.8 billion in assets under management. Carlyle’s global credit businesses include: Loans & Structured Credit, Private Credit, Energy Credit and Distressed Credit. Those businesses have more than 100 investment professionals in New York, Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Chicago, Hong Kong, and London.
