Emerging Sovereign Group (Emerging Markets) Shalin Patel is a Vice President with Emerging Sovereign Group (ESG). Mr. Patel is based in New York.
Mr. Patel joined ESG in 2011. Prior to joining ESG, he had over five years of financial markets and investment banking experience. From 2007-2010, Mr. Patel was a distressed credit research analyst at Och-Ziff Capital, a multi-strategy hedge fund. Before working at Och-Ziff Capital, he was an Analyst in the Restructuring and Reorganization group at the Blackstone Group.
Mr. Patel graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School with concentrations in finance and management and a Bachelor of applied science from the School of Engineering and Applied Science in 2005.
