Angie Helmi is a Vice President focused on buyout opportunities in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region. She is based in Cairo.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Ms. Helmi was a Vice President at Citigroup's Corporate Finance team based in Cairo and covering Egypt and North Africa. At Citigroup, she worked on transactions across a number of industries including telecommunications, petrochemicals, building materials, oil and gas, and metals and mining. Prior to that, Ms. Helmi was a Manager at the Commercial International Bank (Egypt) S.A.E., where she focused on originating and executing structured products for corporate clients operating in the fields of building materials, construction services, power and transportation.
Ms. Helmi holds a M.Sc. in finance from London Business School and a B.A. in business administration and economics with highest honors from the American University in Cairo.
