Alex Preston is Director and Portfolio Manager responsible for synthetic and structured finance investments within Carlyle European Leveraged Finance. He is based in London.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Preston was Head of Proprietary Loan Trading at ABN Amro Bank N.V. where he also set up the LCDS trading business. He managed over €2bn of leveraged finance and synthetic risk. Prior to this, he was Portfolio Manage at Gordian Knot Ltd. where he was one of the founding managers of Theta CDPC.
Mr. Preston is a holder of the CFA Charter and holds an M.A. from the University of Oxford.
