Hassan Karimi is a Senior Associate focused on investment opportunities in the Middle East & North Africa. He is based in Dubai.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Karimi spent three years as an investment banker at UBS in London and Dubai executing M&A deals. He was involved in deals across several industries such as media, real estate and focused mainly on telecom. Mr. Karimi worked on a number of transactions for Vodafone such as the disposals of Vodafone Japan, the 25% interest in Swisscom Mobile, and the 25% interest in Proximus. Prior to that, he worked in project and structured finance at BNP Paribas.
Mr. Karimi graduated from Sciences-Po and ESCP-EAP with a major in finance. He also received a master's degree in project and structured finance from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees and Paris X Nanterre.
