Rachel Winokur is a Vice President focused on U.S. growth capital opportunities in the healthcare sector. She is based in San Francisco.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Ms. Winokur was a Corporate Officer and the Vice President of Business Development at Datascope Corp., a publicly-traded medical device company focused on cardiovascular medicine and critical care. While at Datascope, she led the company’s acquisitions effort, which included a number of transactions involving vascular surgical devices, interventional products and anesthesiology devices. Previously, Ms. Winokur worked in the Office of the CEO at Bertelsmann, where she held various business development and operational positions, both in New York and in London. She began her career with Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the mergers and acquisitions department.
Ms. Winokur holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and graduated magna cum laude with a BSE (BME/EE) from Duke University, where she was elected Phi Beta Kappa. While at Duke, Ms. Winokur completed a National Science Foundation Fellowship focused on the field of electrocardiology.
