Alex G. Stirling is a Director in the European buyout team, with a particular focus on business, industrial and consumer services sectors. Mr. Stirling is based in London.
Since joining Carlyle in 2007, Mr. Stirling has been actively involved in Carlyle Europe’ s investments in Applus, IDH, RAC, NBTY.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Stirling worked for 7 years as an Investment Director with Apax Partners and PPM Capital, where his prior investments included Focus Wickes, Promethean and PCM Uitgevers.
He received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Cambridge University. He speaks French, German, Italian and Spanish.
Mr Stirling is a member of the Board of Directors of Director of IDH, RAC, and was previously an observer on the Board of Orizonia.
