Ying Hai Xie is a Vice President focused on growth capital opportunities in Asia. He is based in Shanghai.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Xie was an Associate Director of Standard Chartered Bank's private equity group, where he was responsible for deal sourcing, execution and portfolio management in the Greater China region. Before that, he worked as a Director for Milestone Capital Management and as an Associate for Olympus Capital Holdings Asia. Mr. Xie has significant direct investment experience in China with notable investments in Focus Media, Shandong Deosen, Greentown China and Shimao Properties. Prior to that, Mr. Xie worked for Lehman Brothers in both Hong Kong and New York as an Analyst.
Mr. Xie received his B.A.with high honors in economics and mathematics from Wesleyan University, CT.
