Rajeev Gupta is a Managing Director and head of the India Buyout team. He is based in Mumbai.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Gupta was the Joint Managing Director and Head of Investment Banking of DSP Merrill Lynch Limited and the founder of its M&A practice where he led several of the largest M&A transactions in India. He was a member of the Board of DSP Merrill Lynch since 2002. Prior to DSP Merrill Lynch Limited, he was the President and Chef Executive Officer of Cosmo Ferrites Limited.
Mr. Gupta earned his M.B.A. from the India Institute of Management Ahmedabad and his Bachelor of Technology from IT-Benaras Hindu University.
