Yoichi (Kevin) Inoue is a Vice President focused on Asia growth capital opportunities in Japan. He is based in Tokyo.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Inoue was an Associate at ACTIV Investment Partners, an independent private equity firm in Tokyo. In his 15 months at ACTIV, he provided investment analysis and served as an auditor to Tokyu Tourist Corporation. Prior to ACTIV, Mr. Inoue was a Business Planning Manager at Softbank Networks, where he produced business plans for Softbank Group's broadband infrastructure businesses and oversaw regulatory affairs. During his two years at Softbank, he was also responsible for advancing numerous business development projects with foreign and domestic partners, including Global Crossing. Mr. Inoue initially started his career at Mitsubishi Corporation in computer and telecommunication businesses, where he spent three years working with software/SI companies, telecom equipment vendors and wireless carriers.
Mr. Inoue received his M.B.A. from INSEAD, and B.S. in electrical engineering from Cornell University.
