Christopher S. Lippman is a Managing Director focused on U.S. real estate opportunities. He is involved in raising equity capital and investment sourcing in various markets with focus on Washington, DC, and New York City. Since joining Carlyle in 1998, Mr. Lippman has been involved in raising approximately $5 billion of equity for real estate private equity funds focused on the United States. In addition, Mr. Lippman has led the investment of over $500 million of equity in real estate transactions totaling approximately $2 billion since 1998.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Lippman was a Vice President specializing in real estate with Friedman Billings & Ramsey, an investment bank located in Arlington, Virginia. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Lippman was employed by CarrAmerica Realty Corporation, a publicly-traded real estate investment trust.
Mr. Lippman graduated cum laude from Harvard College with an A.B. in economics.
