Christopher S. Lippman is a Managing Director with Carlyle Realty with responsibilities for raising equity capital and sourcing investment opportunities in various markets (with focus on Washington, DC, and New York City). Since joining Carlyle in 1998, Mr. Lippman has led the investment of over $1 billion of equity in real estate transactions totaling over $3 billion in various sectors and markets in the United States. During that time, Mr. Lippman has been involved in raising approximately $6 billion of equity for private equity funds focused on real estate opportunities in the United States.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Lippman was a Vice President specializing in real estate with Friedman Billings & Ramsey, an investment bank located in Arlington, Virginia. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Lippman was employed by CarrAmerica Realty Corporation, a publicly-traded real estate investment trust.
Mr. Lippman graduated cum laude from Harvard College with an A.B. in economics.
