E. Bartow Jones is a Principal of Riverstone. He is based in New York.

Prior to joining Riverstone in 2001, Mr. Jones was an Associate in the M&A group at J.P. Morgan in New York, focusing on strategic sales across a broad group of industries including oilfield services, consumer products, and food and beverage. While managing the marketing phase of a sale process, Mr. Jones worked with numerous LBO groups and financing agents as well as large publicly traded domestic companies. Mr. Jones joined J.P. Morgan through its acquisition of the Beacon Group, where he was responsible for M&A advisory engagements for corporate clients and principal investment activities across three private equity funds. Prior to joining Beacon, Mr. Jones was a Senior Analyst for Stern Stewart & Co, a financial consultancy in New York, where he focused on the shareholder-value advisory business in the automotive and food processing industries. Mr. Jones' analyses focused on clients' capital budgeting procedures, acquisition selections and spin-outs of internal divisions.

Mr. Jones currently serves on the Boards of Directors of Foresight Reserves, L.P., SemGroup GP, LLC and Targe Energy, LLC, and he previously served on the Board of Directors of Buckeye GP LLC (the general partner of Buckeye Partners, L.P.) and Mainline Management LLC (the general partner of Buckeye GP Holdings, L.P.). Mr. Jones received his B.S. in commerce with concentrations in both finance and accounting from the McIntire School at the University of Virginia.
