Xiang-Dong (X.D.) Yang has been Managing Director and Co-Head of Carlyle Asia Partners ("CAP") since 2001. CAP has been investing in Asia for over a decade and is one of the largest private equity investors in Asia. He is based in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Yang spent nine years at Goldman Sachs, where he was a Managing Director, Co-Head of Goldman's private equity investment arm for Asia ex-Japan and a member of its Asia Management Committee.
Mr. Yang received his B.A. in economics from Harvard University and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He is a native of China.
