Daisuke Takatsuki is a Vice President focused on Japanese buyout opportunities. Mr. Takatsuki has been actively involved in a number of the firm’s investments, including WILLCOM, Inc. (previously DDI Pocket), Gakusei Engokai, and Covalent Materials Corporation (previously Toshiba Ceramics). He is based in Tokyo.
Prior to joining Carlyle in 2002, Mr. Takatsuki worked at the Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund and the Ministry of Finance Japan (on secondment), providing financial assistance to developing countries throughout the world.
Mr. Takatsuki received his M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He also received an LL.B. from the University of Tokyo. He served on the Board of Directors of Gakusei Engokai and currently serves on the Board of Directors of WILLCOM, Inc. and Covalent Materials Corporation as statutory auditor.
