Daisuke Takatsuki is a Director with Japan Buyout, focusing on buyouts, privatizations and strategic minority investments throughout Japan in the industrial and services sectors. Mr. Takatsuki is based in Tokyo.
Since joining Carlyle in 2002, Mr. Takatsuki has been actively involved with Carlyle’s investments including WILLCOM, Inc., Intelligence Ltd (formerly Gakusei Engokai), and Covalent Materials Corporation (formerly Toshiba Ceramics).
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Takatsuki was with the Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund of Japan.
Mr. Takatsuki received an M.B.A. from Stanford University and an LL.B. from the University of Tokyo.
Mr. Takatsuki served on the Board of Directors of WILLCOM, Inc., Gakusei Engokai, and Covalent Materials Corporation. Mr. Takatsuki is a Scott M. Johnson Fellow of the United-States Japan Foundation.
