Steve Rosengarten is a Director focused on European buyout opportunities based in Paris. He is in charge of the development of Carlyle’s activities in the Benelux and is a member of the telecom and media industry team in Europe.
Mr. Rosengarten is on the board of directors of Com Hem, Sweden’s leading cable operator and Numericable, France’s leading cable operator. Mr. Rosengarten was also a board member of Casema, the third Dutch cable operator prior to its sale to Cinven and Warburg Pincus in 2006 and represented Carlyle on the board of Bredbandsbolaget (Sweden) prior to its sale to Telenor in 2005.
Prior to joining Carlyle in 2000, Mr. Rosengarten was a member of the Media Team at Lazard Frères in New York. Prior to that, he practiced M&A and securities law at Chadbourne & Parke as an attorney in New York. Mr. Rosengarten received his LL.M. at Harvard Law School and his LL.B. (Hons) at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
