Barbara A. Murphy is a Managing Director with U.S. Real Estate, a position she has held since 2010. She is focused on U.S. real estate opportunities and is based in Washington, D.C.
Since joining Carlyle in 2000, Ms. Murphy has held the position of Principal, U.S. Real Estate and Vice President, U.S. Real estate before taking on her current role. She is been actively involved in the leading the asset management strategies and investment reporting for the U.S based real estate portfolio. Her overall responsibilities include the management of programs and systems used to maintain investment level data and performance results, oversight of long-term cash flow forecasting and fund liquidity, and implementation of operational asset management practices and risk management.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Ms. Murphy was with Lincoln Property Company in Arlington, VA and KPMG in Washington, D.C.
Ms. Murphy received a B.S. from Virginia Tech in accounting and was a CPA in the state of Virginia.
