John F. Harris is a Managing Director for The Carlyle Group. He is based in Washington, DC.
Mr. Harris served as Carlyle's Chief Financial Officer for 10 years responsible for the firm's investor reporting, internal controls and financial management. He was instrumental in structuring Carlyle's private equity funds and negotiating terms with limited partners.
Prior to joining Carlyle in April 1997, Mr. Harris was a Vice President with Golub Capital, a private equity firm, where he focused on middle market investments. Previously, Mr. Harris was a Senior Manager with Arthur Andersen, LLP. His experience also includes serving as a Research Associate for the National Commission on Fraudulent Financial Reporting ("Treadway Commission").
Mr. Harris is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
