Eric A. Beard is a Senior Advisor to The Carlyle Group focusing on opportunities in the healthcare sector.
Mr. Beard is presently President and CEO of Gish Biomedical, Inc. in California.
Mr. Beard served as President International for Sorin Group from 2003 to 2009, responsible for worldwide sales and the company’s renal care and vascular therapies businesses.
Prior to joining Sorin Group, Mr. Beard was Corporate Vice President and President EMEA for Baxter Healthcare. In this position, Mr. Beard was responsible for an organization of more than $ 2 billion in sales spanning 28 countries. Mr. Beard was associated with Baxter Healthcare in a number of senior management positions for more than 25 years. He held several senior positions in Germany, Europe and Japan prior to becoming President for the renal care product division.
Mr. Beard also served as a member of the Board of Eucomed, the European Medical Technology Association.
Mr. Beard earned his M.B.A. from the University of Leuven.
