Eric J. Kump is a Managing Director focused on European buyout opportunities in the industrial, consumer, healthcare and services sectors. He is based in London.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Kump was a Managing Director and head of the European Private Equity team of Dubai International Capital (DIC). While at DIC he was a Director of Alliance Medical, Almatis, Travelodge, Mauser Group and Merlin Entertainments Group. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director with Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity (MLGPE) where he was a member of the investment committee and a Director of numerous portfolio companies. While at MLGPE, he focused on European LBOs in the financial services, consumer, distribution, industrial and healthcare sectors.
Mr. Kump received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and he received a B.A. in finance and accounting from Pace University.
