Ming Liao is a Vice President responsible for investor relations with a focus on China. He is based in Beijing.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Liao was a Vice President at the Firth Management Department at Morgan Stanley Asia Limited, responsible for covering China's sovereign wealth funds and government relations. Prior to that, Mr. Liao was a Vice President in the investment banking division at Morgan Stanley covering China's consumer, retail and industrial companies. Mr. Liao also worked with Credit Suisse First Boston (Hong Kong) and DBS Asia Capital in Hong Kong.
Mr. Liao received his MPA in economics from Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. He received a B.A. from the Remin University of China in Beijing. Mr. Liao held a HK securities paper one license for conducting security business in Hong Kong from October 2004 to September 2008.
