Charles S. Munzig is an Associate with the U.S. Growth Capital and the U.S. Equity Opportunity funds, focusing on a broad range of small and middle market equity transactions. Mr. Munzig is based in Washington, DC.
Since joining Carlyle in 2009, Mr. Munzig has been actively involved with Carlyle’s investments in current portfolio companies Apollo Global, Quorum Business Solutions, and RMI. Mr. Munzig was also a member of the transaction team that executed Carlyle’s investment in Wall Street Institute; the investment in Wall Street Institute was exited in August 2010, when it was acquired by Pearson plc.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Munzig was with Merrill Lynch & Co. in New York, in the Transportation and Infrastructure investment banking group.
Mr. Munzig received a B.A. in economics and English, from Wesleyan University.
