David Roth is a Managing Director and oversees Carlyle’s global Information Technology operations. He is based in Washington, D.C.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Roth was Chief Technology Officer at Shop2U.com, an e-mail marketing firm in Fairfax, Virginia. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Information Technology at Discovery Communications in Bethesda, Maryland, a role he held for six years.
Mr. Roth graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Binghamton with a dual B.A. in economics and history.
