Catalin Breaban is a Vice President focused on buyout opportunities in Central and Eastern Europe. He is
based in London.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Breaban has worked for two years as a Vice President with HSBC's investment
banking team in London as part of the financial sponsors team, covering leading private equity client-firms in Western Europe and the CEE region. He channelled the bank's comprehensive product offering (M&A advice, leverage finance and hedging solutions) to the private equity clients in complex buyout transactions. Prior to that, Mr. Breaban worked for five years with the Austrian Raiffeisen Investment AG, on mergers and acquisitions, covering CEE.
Mr. Breaban received his M.B.A. from INSEAD. He received a B.A. from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies.
