Fernando Pinto is a Vice President focused on buyout investment opportunities in Brazil and South America. He is based in Sao Paulo.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Pinto was an investment officer with Capital International Research Inc., in its private equity generalist fund focused on emerging markets. He was part of the team responsible for Latin America and worked in transactions such as the leverage buyout of McDonald's operations in Latin America. Prior to that, Mr. Pinto worked in investment banking for over five years at Goldman Sachs & Co., on its Healthcare and Latin America Group.
Mr. Pinto received his M.B.A. from the Standford Graduate School of Business. He received a law degree from the University of Sao Paulo and he has a B.A. in public administration from Fundacao Getulio Vargas.
